10 Best Candle Scents for a Cozy Home

There is nothing quite like a candle to create a romantic, relaxing glow on a cool, spring evening. They add ambiance, scent, and light in a way that’s easy and inexpensive, but oh-so-sexy. They are my accessory of choice when it comes to decorating, and even more so when it comes to romancing the husband. I mean everything just looks better in candle-light, am I right?

So what’s a girl to do when there are so many candles and so little time to decide which ones to burn? Let me help! I already have way too many candles in my stash, but here are the 10 I’ve had my eye on for this spring!

  1. Paddywax Urban Collection Scented Soy Wax Candle – Amber and Smoke – I love these Paddywax city-inspired concrete Vessels. This collection of on-trend concrete candles with geometric accents is filled with their signature fragrances and topped off with Gold foil stamped dust covers. It’s very modern and chic, and looks great in a minimalist setting. Not to mention all of the Paddywax candles smell amazing.
  2. Yankee Candle Large Jar Candle, Lavender Vanilla – This one is the perfect, old-standby. It’s the soft, comfy sweater on a bad day of smells. Lavender Vanilla is soothing, comforting, and just plain relaxing. This is one I always come back to, no matter the season.
  3. Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Comfort Vanilla & Patchouli Candle – Another one of my staples, BBW candles burn consistently well, with amazing scents that fill your house. I love this one when it’s between seasons and I don’t want something that smells of Christmas, but I’m not ready for spring flowers. It’s perfect for cozying up under a blanket and watching the rain fall.
  4. Seda France Pagoda Candle – French Tulip – Seda France candles are my absolute favorite splurge. Their packaging is gorgeous, and they smell heavenly. I love the pagoda candles because they’re so different, and I especially love the French Tulip scent when I’m finally ready to throw off my heavy coat and embrace spring!
  5. Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Soy Candle – Want an all-around winning candle with a clean, fresh scent and a simple aesthetic that looks great in kitchens and bathrooms? Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Soy candles do the trick. I especially love the Geranium scent – doesn’t smell like lemon pledge and instead leaves just a light, clean smell behind.

  6. Ylang Ylang Aromatherapy Scented Candle Gift – I fell in love with the shiny, rose-gold container, and stayed for the sexy scent of Ylang Ylang. This is the one you want to burn in your bedroom, girls!
  7. Woodwick Candle Warm Woods – My husband isn’t a huge fan of what he calls “girly” scented candles, so when I found this guy, I was excited that it was a more masculine scent, along with the fun crackle of a wood wick. I love these candles for creating some ambiance in a room, and for just general glow. They’re so much fun!
  8. Scented Candles Jasmine,Lotus,Lilac Blossoms & White Gardenia,Natural Soy Wax Portable Travel Tin Candle  – Travel candles are my jam. I love being able to tuck one into my carryon and make my hotel room smell a bit more home-like. (I know, I know, hotels really do frown on this but what can I say?). These are the cutest travel candles I’ve found, and even better, they smell amazing. What’s not to love?
  9. Chesapeake Bay Candle Mind & Body Collection Large Jar Scented Candle, Balance + Harmony – I mean who’s not looking for balance and harmony right now? I love these pretty blue candles. They glow beautifully when lit, and have a soft, soothing scent of water lily and pear that really does make me feel a bit more balanced (and I can use all the help I can get!)
  10. Wax Candle Company – French 75 – These beauties are only available on the Wax Candle Company website, but they are oh-so-worth it. The French 75 is a cocktail made from gin, Champagne, lemon juice, and sugar. And my god does it smell amazing. The french blue label is also pure gorgeousness. What’s not to love here?

So there are my top choices for this spring. How about you guys? Any standouts you’ve added to your collection lately?
