5 Low-Carb Chocolates that Taste Great

I will admit it. I have a problem.

I am a chocoholic.

Which makes it even more difficult when I am in the middle of eating well and watching my carbs and all I want is a big, honking, chocolate brownie, or a peanut butter cup. Or well, you know, the entire contents of the check out lane chocolate stand.

So what’s a Keto girl to do? Luckily the low-carb chocolate market has exploded in the last few years with some really great options that taste like the real thing. Heck, I actually prefer a couple of these to the typical Snickers or Milky Way bars I used to love. (Yeah, I know, shocked me too!).

The only down side is that some of these are still a bit expensive, but when used as a splurge (which is what I try to do with my sweets intake anyway,) they are worth the cost! And let’s face it, there are going to be those days, usually at a certain time of the month where I want to say fuck eating well and down an entire Sanders Chocolate Cake, so anything that will help me keep those cravings in control and let me still have chocolate is worth the price in my book!

So what are my faves?

Lilly’s Sweets Chocolate Bar Milk Creamy – I actually can find these at my local grocery store for around $3 a piece and they have a variety of flavors. They are sweet, chocoloatey and smooth, without the sometimes gritty texture low-sugar chocolate can have. I absolutely love the Dark Chocolate Almond bar as well!

ChocoPerfection Dark Almond – My second favorite option only because they’re not sold locally. These babies have some amazing flavors and kill any chocolate urge I have. Even better, they’re only 3 net carbs PER BAR! Low carb and amazing taste?! Yes please.

ChocZero Premium Milk Chocolate – I guess it’s not really fair to play favorites in the chocolate game, because I’ve already listed two that I’ve fallen in love with, and now here we have ChocZero, who make my absolute favorite Milk Chocolate. Their dark chocolate is amazing, but my husband hates dark chocolate and when I found this alternative, he was through the roof with excitement. I’m so very happy it lived up to the hype! (Also amazing dipped into a little peanut butter!)

Lakanto Chocolate Bar Almond – These guys are a little pricey at $10 a bar, but I’d say it’s definitely worth it if you’re hard core craving an actual chocolate bar. I honestly cannot tell the difference between this one and a regular grocery store bar!

ChocZero Keto Bark – Yeah, ChocZero has two spots on this list, but that’s because they’re really just that good.

Low Carb Brownies – And when you just need that cakey, fudgy texture of a brownie and pale keto imitations won’t do? This little girl right here makes into a decadent, chocolaty pan of brownies that will have you thinking you’re eating the full sugar version. Highly recommended when you need that level of comfort food!

So there are some of my favorites in the Low-Carb Chocolate world. How about you guys? What are your go-tos for desserts that won’t send your sugar cravings sky high?
