Sheetmasks are my favorite quick luxury item. They’re fairly inexpensive, fast, and can provide a little bit of self-care in the middle of an otherwise hectic day. Sheetmasks are face-shaped sheet fabrics soaked in nutrition-packed solution called serum. The sheet is made up of variety of materials including papers, fibers or gel types. Sheet masks are usually used once and are individually packaged, making them portable, convenient, and easy to use.
Most sheetmasks are left on 20-30 minutes, or until the serum is absorbed into your skin and the mask becomes dryish. They’re great to use when you don’t have much time to spend on your skin, because you can still clean, cook, watch TV or take care of your kids while wearing one. And even better, after taking off your mask, there’s no washing off or scrubbing clay from your face, the serum just sinks into your skin as another step in your routine.
Sheet masks are a great way to target specific things you want to enhance your skin. Because they most often contain focused ingredients, there’s basically a sheet mask for every need – brightening, soothing, acne calming, wrinkle reducing. You name it, there’s probably a sheet mask for it.
Sheetmasks originated in South Korea, but they’ve gone mainstream now, and you can find them almost anywhere beauty products are sold – Target, CVS, Ulta, Sephora, Amazon. Even Old Navy has it’s own brand.
Over the winter, my sheet mask use rockets because I’m looking for all the extra moisture I can get, but when spring comes along, I want something lighter, something that’s less work horse and more pretty princess. So here are some of my favorite masks I turn to when the weather gets warm.
A little on the priceir side, these masks are wonderful after a long, harsh winter. This mask contains marine collagen, chamomile flower water, and other ingredients that provide continuous moisture, and provides a cooling sensation that makes you feel completely refreshed.

One of the first sheetmasks I ever used, and one I keep coming back to. The thin, soft sheet is perfect for delivering a soothing essence that makes skin bouncy, and helps reduce the redness in my cheeks. After using these, I’m glowing but not red, which is almost a miracle for me. I was a little weirded out by the Snail thing the first time i used these, but the snail mucin is gathered humanely and it just feels soothing, not gross and slimy.

Avocados are pretty much the world’s most perfect food (if you can't tell, I'm a huge fan!). It is the fruit of the Avocado tree, but unlike most fruit, it isn’t high in carbohydrates. Instead it’s filled with healthy fats and tons of nutrients. There are many kinds...
