Things I Love – May Version

It’s May, and I think Michigan has finally made the turn into spring after a very (VERY) long winter. I’m ready for spring cleaning, flowers, and pretty things, and this month’s Loves definitely reflect that. Take a look at some of the things I’m obsessed with this month!

Makeup Sponges, ESARORA 6 Pieces (3+3) Foundation Blending Sponge

I’m not sure why I’ve never used these little guys before, but they are amazing. I’ve been running into trouble getting my pressed powder to look right after applying moisturizer, but as soon as I started using these, dampened with water and then dabbed on my compact, it goes on flawlessly. Same for my tinted moisturizer. I don’t think I’ll ever be without these again! And the pretty spring colors are an added bonus when I’m stumbling through my morning routine.

Acure Organics – Blue Tansy Night Oil

I’m a huge fan of facial oils and my dry skin usually loves the heavy, expensive kinds. But when spring arrives, my thick oils just don’t cut it and I turn into a greasy mess. I saw a recommendation a few weeks ago that the Acure Organics Blue Tansy night oil was a dupe of the  Herbivore Lapis Oil which does magical things for my skin and I had to rush out to pick up a bottle. Oh My. For only $13, this will definitely be a new staple in my spring/summer routine. Light, soothing, and plumping. I am in love!

Leuchtturm1917 Classic Hardcover Squared Medium Notebook Emerald

I bought this little journal to take a stab at bullet journaling. After a few nights of designing and then pulling out pages, I’ve discovered I’m way too much of a perfectionist to go full on bullet journal, but I love this notebook for making lists, and creating my own variation of bullet journaling for lazy people! Also, this color is absolutely gorgeous. Totally makes me think spring!

Amethyst Crystal Display Stone

I’ve always been a huge rock fan. It started as kid spending summers by the lake searching for Petoskey stones, but I love the aesthetic of using natural items in decorating as well. I’ve amassed a bit of a collection by now, but I’m always on the look out for new, cool rocks and I stumbled on these on Amazon and fell in love. I think I know the perfect spot for them. And whether or not you believe in the metaphysical aspects of crystals, at least they look great on a bookshelf.

Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne

I am a total perfume junkie, and have way too many in my stash already, but when I saw Jo Malone had a new spring series, I had to splurge. From the Description: The lightness of spring, pure and transient, is captured in subtle layers of cherry blossom, rose, and violet, brightened with sparkling bergamot. Sounds pretty perfect for spring to me!

Elegant Knit Dress

With a gorgeous teal color, flutter sleeves, and criss-cross back, I already loved this dress. But when you throw in the fact that it’s made from comfy knit!? Yes Please! I plan to live in this dress over the summer!

Review: KOSE SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing Oil

One of my first forays into Asian Beauty when I was just starting my routine was to purchase a new face wash. I was a little concerned, as I'd never used an oil to cleanse my face before and I didn't know what to expect, but oil cleansing is a staple in Asian Beauty...
